Today is the third anniversary of the 44-day war of 2020.
On September 27, 2020, at 07:10, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack against Nagorno-Karabakh. Combat operations took place along the entire length of the Artsakh-Azerbaijani contact line, as well as in some parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line.
The war lasted 44 days. Already on November 9, it was announced at night that the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan signed a tripartite declaration consisting of 9 points on the cessation of fire. According to that statement, a Russian peacekeeping force was deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh, consisting of about 2,000 peacekeepers and 470 units of military equipment.
As a result of the war, the Armenian side gave more than 3800 victims. The whereabouts of more than 200 people are still unknown.
In the war, Azerbaijan used its entire arsenal, with large-scale military use of UAVs, the latest equipment and heavy artillery, and that is why the military operations are called the 5th generation.
