Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Armen Ghularyan, hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha.
Several issues of cooperation in the field of urban development were discussed. Armen Ghularyan presented to the ambassador the main directions of the committee's activity, the works and initiatives implemented in the field of urban development. Referring to the large-scale construction works carried out in Armenia, he informed that the committee is one of the major clients of the critical projects implemented by the RA government, particularly the construction of schools, kindergartens, sports, and health facilities.
The parties considered the possibilities of participation of the construction companies operating in India in the construction projects implemented in Armenia and the involvement of the labor force from India. Questions regarding the participation in the sectoral exhibitions to be held in the two countries and the organization of joint conferences were also discussed.
Reference was made to the potential and prospects of interaction between the higher education institutions of the two countries for the purpose of training and training of specialists.
Emphasizing on both sides the establishment of cooperation in other spheres, it was decided to continue discussions on the implementation of agreements.
