The ECtHR completely satisfied RA's request and applied an interim measure against Azerbaijan

Taking into account the fact that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh leads to a severe risk of violation of the rights guaranteed by the Convention and despite the ceasefire agreement reached on September 20 of this year, on September 22 of this year, the European Court of Human Rights, satisfying the request submitted by the RA government, against Azerbaijan apply an intermediate measure. In particular, the ECHR obliged Azerbaijan to refrain from any action that could violate the rights guaranteed by Articles 2 (right to life) and 3 (prohibition of torture) of the Convention.
The ECHR also urgently notified the CE Committee of Ministers about this.
