On September 12-13, the third session of the Armenian-Iraqi intergovernmental joint commission on economic cooperation was held in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. The co-chairman of the Armenian side of the commission was RA Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan, and the Iraqi side was co-chaired by IR Minister of Agriculture Abbas Al-Malki.
"During the session, our goal is to exchange ideas with Iraqi partners on trade, energy, industry, agriculture, digitization and other areas of mutual interest in order to expand bilateral cooperation," said Vahan Kerobyan.
At the meeting, the prospects of bilateral economic cooperation were discussed, particularly in the fields of trade, agriculture, finance, telecommunications, high technologies, cyber security, energy, transport, infrastructure, healthcare, education, culture, sports and tourism.
As a result of the session, based on the agreements reached with the Iraqi side, the protocol of the session was signed.
