In this context, the goals of civil society organizations and the institution of the Human Rights Defender are the same, despite the differences in the structure of their activities. This is the first reason why I value cooperation in this format. "Problems should be constantly raised, and systematic and continuous work should be carried out to achieve results," said the Defender.
In her turn, Naira Sultanyan thanked her for her willingness to hold the meeting and emphasized the importance of face-to-face discussion and continuous cooperation.
The panelists addressed human rights in the armed forces and prisons, including the protection of the right to life, the fight against discrimination, the protection of women's rights, the fight against domestic violence, the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, the issue of police violence, the protection of human rights in care centers and several other cases, the problems recorded about them and ways of addressing them.
Ideas were exchanged, and various observations and suggestions were presented. At the end of the meeting, the main directions for further cooperation were outlined, and an agreement was reached to organize meetings in this format regularly.
