Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a condolence message on the death of the legendary gymnast Albert Azaryan.
"It was with deep sadness that I received the news of the death of Albert Azaryan, an outstanding representative of Armenian sports, three-time champion of the Olympic Games.
Azaryan's contribution is invaluable not only at the Armenian but also at the world level of sports. Achievements that are unique in the history of gymnastics, including the complex of exercises he performed on the rings, officially named "Azaryan Cross."
He was a man-legend who was an inspiring example and teacher for all athletes. Albert Azaryan was one of the individuals who make up the glory and pride of Armenian sports, whose achievements and contributions to the development of gymnastics are invaluable.
I express my condolences to Mr. Azaryan's family, relatives, colleagues, and all representatives of Armenian sports on the occasion of the death of the famous sportsman.
