Andranik Kocharyan met with the Chairman of the Defense Committee of the GDR Bundestag
The delegation of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs, which is in Berlin on a working visit, led by the chairman of the committee, Andranik Kocharyan, met with the chairman of the defense committee of the GDR Bundestag, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann.
The commission's chairman, Kocharyan, presented to his colleague the ongoing reforms in Armenia, including the fight against corruption, constitutional reforms, and the programs implemented in the RA armed forces. He referred to regional security issues, including the illegal blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of cooperation, particularly the possibility of studying the experience of the GDR in parliamentary control. Andranik Kocharyan invited his colleague to visit Armenia.
RA NA MP Kristine Poghosyan, RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the GDR Victor Yengibaryan, and defense attaché Colonel Karen Muradyan participated in the meeting.
