First Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Head of Client Services Group, Jürgen Rigterink, will pay a one-week visit to the South Caucasus region.
As the EBRD press service reports, the visit will start in Armenia, continue in Georgia, and end in Azerbaijan.
First Vice President Rigterink, accompanied by EBRD Executive Director for Eastern Europe and Caucasus Matteo Patrone, will meet with government officials, central bank executives, business leaders, and representatives of international financial organizations in each country. He will also introduce Alkis Vryenios Drakinos, succeeding Katarina Bjorlin Hansen, former EBRD's Caucasus region director.
The First Vice President of Armenia will sign a credit line agreement with a local partner bank to promote the private sector's development further. In Georgia, Rigterink will announce the launch of a new project with one of the EBRD's central partner banks as part of the Bank's commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. In Azerbaijan, he will participate in the launch of a public-private partnership program for technical and vocational education and training organized by the State Agency for Vocational Education, aimed at developing skills in the field of food production.
