RA Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia Nariman Al Mulla.
The minister welcomed the ambassador and congratulated him on his appointment. Vahe Ghazaryan appreciated the close cooperation between the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs and the UAE Embassy. He also presented the formation of the ministry and the reforms implemented in subordinate services. The Minister of Internal Affairs expressed his belief that the bilateral cooperation would further develop and reaffirm the readiness of the Armenian side in this direction.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Nariman Al Mulla pointed out the friendly relations between the two countries and expressed readiness to cooperate in several directions.
In this context, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan spoke about establishing the Water Patrol Service. Announcing that the service will start operating in a few months, the deputy minister presented the works being carried out in that direction, especially highlighting the processes of training employees and forming a material and technical base. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs proposed possible rules of cooperation in the field.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities of introducing new technologies in the services and questions regarding cooperation in rescue services.
