The deputy minister received the legal attaché of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation

On August 15, RA Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received Heather Bergy, the legal attaché in Armenia and Georgia of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the US Department of Justice.

Welcoming the guests, Deputy Minister Sargsyan highly appreciated the close cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the US Department of Justice and expressed readiness to develop it.

Arpine Sargsyan, presenting the ongoing reforms in the criminal Police, emphasized the need for deepening cooperation in illegal drug circulation, trafficking, cybercrime, money laundering, and illegal migration.

Thanking Heather Berg, the legal attaché in Armenia and Georgia of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the US Department of Justice, for the reception, she also expressed her willingness to continue practical cooperation to fight crime.

In the context of the changes implemented in the criminal justice field, the parties emphasized the guarantee of the approaches of the Police to organize operative-investigative work with the logic of facing modern challenges to ensure practical cooperation with investigative bodies.

Further cooperation in criminal Police, training of officers, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
