On August 9, RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to RA Olivier Decotigny, and the newly appointed military attaché, Lt. Col. Arno Eli.
The Minister of Defense congratulated Ambassador Dkotinyi and Lt. Col. Arno Eli on starting the mission in Armenia and wished for practical cooperation.
During the meeting, the establishment of the military attaché office at the French Embassy in Yerevan was highlighted, which was implemented within the framework of the agreement reached in September 2022 between the Ministers of Defense, Suren Papikyan and Sébastien Lecorneux.
Several issues related to the current course of Armenian-French cooperation in defense, development prospects, and regional security were discussed.
