The Ministry of Internal Affairs rescue service informs that since August 10, a powerful heat wave has been entering Armenia from the Arabian Peninsula's regions, bringing a sharp increase in temperature by about 4-6 degrees compared to today.
Between August 10-13, the highest temperature between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. in the Ararat Valley and Yerevan is predicted to reach +40...+42 degrees.
On August 10-13, in Yerevan, in the Ararat Valley, in the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, in the valleys of Syunik and Tavush, a high-level fire hazard situation is expected.
The intensity of ultraviolet radiation in the Ararat Valley, Kotayk, Aragatsot highlands, Shirak, and Tavush is expected to be higher than usual on August 7-8.
It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
