On July 13, RA Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan received France's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to RA, Anne Louyot.
Vahe Ghazaryan, welcoming the ambassador, highly appreciated the Armenian-French police cooperation, the foundation of which was laid thanks to the bilateral administrative agreement signed in 1995. The Minister of Internal Affairs pointed out the more than 100 events organized for around 1,000 police officers, which were carried out within the framework of the Agreement.
Emphasizing the close relations within both bilateral and international organizations, Minister Vahe Ghazaryan singled out the close cooperation between the national central bureaus of Interpol of Armenia and France in the field of fighting crime and in the field of migration with the regional representation of the French Immigration and Integration Office in Armenia.
Thanking for the warm reception, Anne Luyo mentioned the essential directions of cooperation. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary was happy to document the meeting held in Yerevan within the framework of the "Combating Organized Crime in the Eastern Partnership Region" program, which the representatives of Europol, France, Spain, Moldova, Georgia, Romania, and Armenia attended. Anne Luyo also informed that technical assistance was provided to the Armenian police within the framework of that program.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, particularly appreciating the efforts made by Anne Luyot during her tenure in Armenia in the direction of developing and deepening the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Armenia and France, thanked the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary on the occasion of the end of her diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished success in her future activities.
At the meeting, the guests presented the latest generation observation drones provided to the Armenian police, which can be in the air for a long time at an altitude of up to 12 km and transmit photos and videos with high accuracy.
