Criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with the cases of 2 service menbers receiving gunshot wounds from the enemy's shots
On July 12, 2023, at around 05:30 and then around 12:10, the service members of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, due to the motive of hatred, intolerance, or hostility due to national or ethnic origin, illegally deprived the lives of the service members of N military unit of the RA Armed Forces who were performing their service duty. Intentionally, sniper shots were fired in the direction of combat positions under the protection of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, located in the southeastern border zone, as a result of which two service members of the mentioned military units received gunshot wounds.
The service members were transferred to the military hospital on the same day.
Regarding the mentioned cases, criminal proceedings were initiated in the third garrison investigative department of the Military Investigative General Department of the RA Investigative Committee, according to the 1st and 15th points of Part 2 of Article 44-155 of the RA Criminal Code.
Urgent evidentiary and procedural actions are being carried out to find out the circumstances of the pre-offensive actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and to give final legal assessments of the criminal actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
