A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of ASR and the British NGO "Care of Children"
Within the scope of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan's visit to Great Britain, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of ASD and the British NGO "Care of Children" to expand cooperation in the field of child rights protection, developing the institution of foster care, which is the result of previously established close cooperation.
In January 2023, at the invitation of Minister Mkrtchyan, Robert Glover, the founder of the "Children's Care" NGO, was also present in Armenia during the screening of the film "Shanghai's Children" about foster care. To share his own experience and his vision of fostering family development. Prince Michael George Charles Franklin of Kent, a "Care for Children" NGO supporter, also participated in the memorandum signing ceremony.
Within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned to improve the processes ensuring the realization of the right of a child in a difficult life situation to live in a family through the exchange of experience, training, and professional visits, as well as to organize the holding of a regional conference on the topic "Development of the Care Institute" to be held in Yerevan in September 2023. An agreement was reached to hold it regularly in Armenia.
