The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, today received the delegation led by Catherine de Bol, the Executive Director of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol). Sebastien Moras, Head of Europol's Executive Director's Office, and Ilya Pulov, Senior Advisor of the Executive Director's Office, were also part of the delegation. RA Ambassador Extr,aordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Tigran Balayan, also participated in the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, the Prosecutor General highly appreciated the cooperation of RA law enforcement agencies with Europol, in that context highlighting the working arrangement agreement signed between the Republic of Armenia and Europol on September 28, 2021, aimed at the exchange of information between EU member states and RA law enforcement agencies.
Executive Director of Europol Catherine de Boll thanked for the meeting and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in several directions.
During the meeting, Anna Vardapetyan presented the role of the Prosecutor's Office in the field of international legal cooperation and the priorities of the Prosecutor's Office. She welcomed the joint efforts to strengthen cooperation, expressing hope that they will lead to an effective fight against crime, especially in the context of money laundering, confiscation of property of illegal origin, and the detection of war crimes.
During the meeting, the parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
