On June 27, RA Prime Minister's wife, Mrs. Anna Hakobyan, met with the executive director of Europol, Catherine de Bolle. Tigran Balayan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands was also present at the meeting.
Europol is an EU human rights organization that supports the 27 EU countries in the fight against terrorism, cybercrimes, and other serious crimes. Prime Minister's wife, Anna Hakobyan, presented to Catherine de Bolle the details of the international summit entitled "The Role of women leaders in promoting democracy, peace, and Security," to be held in Yerevan on October 19-20.
According to Anna Hakobyan, there are wars in different parts of the world today, and there is a high possibility of starting military operations in some regions. Considering all this, it is necessary for women who make decisions and hold high positions to unite, find a solution, and make the world safer, emphasized the Prime Minister's wife.
The summit held in Yerevan will differ from others in that this time, only women will participate in the event; the platform will be used to exchange ideas, analyze, highlight the existing dangers, and fight against them.
During the dialogue, Anna Hakobyan and Catherine de Bolle also highlighted the increase in women's involvement in saving children's lives, noting that hundreds of children have died during wars in recent years, which is unforgivable.
The Prime Minister's wife also presented to the interlocutor details about the involvement of women in the patrol service introduced in Armenia, the policy adopted by the government, according to which the currently available vacancies will be filled with women.
Anna Hakobyan invited Catherine de Bolle to participate in the summit to be held in Yerevan. She suggested that all guests arrive in Armenia not for 2 but for 4 days to have time to participate in cultural programs and enjoy Armenia.
Catherine de Bolle noted that the initiative is exciting and vital and expressed confidence that the summit will be very effective. Catherine de Bolle said she would try her best to attend the event.
