As part of the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Armenia-Kansas partnership, the Governor of Kansas, Laura Kelly, Adjutant General, National Guard Commander, Brigadier General Michael Venerdin, accompanied by the Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Arman Sargsyan, who arrived in Armenia, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial on June 22, to be dedicated to the memory of the canonized martyrs of the Genocide.
