EU efforts aimed at stabilizing the security situation in the region were emphasized

On June 20, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan received the delegation of the European Parliament's Security and Defense Subcommittee headed by President Nathalie Loiseau.

Welcoming the delegation members, Vahan Kostanyan highly appreciated the moral position of the European Parliament on issues of primary importance for Armenia, thanking the delegation members for their pro-Armenian activities.

The parties discussed various issues related to the cooperation agenda between Armenia and the European Union. The Armenian side greatly emphasized the deployment of the EU mission in Armenia and the EU's efforts to stabilize the security situation in the region. In the context of the discussed issues, the Deputy Foreign Minister comprehensively presented the latest developments regarding the process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and addressed the rights and security guarantees of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. At the request of the interlocutors, he referred to the steps towards the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations.
