The RA Ministry of Health informs that the International Training Center for Emergency and Disaster Medicine of Armenia will operate in Yerevan.
Armenia was the first in the WHO European region to host the WHO Global Meeting of Rapid Response Medical Teams last year. It announced the establishment of a rapid-response medical team.
In addition, efforts are being made to strengthen emergency medical care services throughout the country and equip the service with personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills within the framework of the unified ambulance system.
Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan participated in the "Armenia International Training Center for Emergency and Disaster Medicine" opening.
The new training center created in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the International Committee of the Red Cross, Erebuni Medical Center, Beth Israel Deacon Medical Center, and Harvard Medical Faculty is one of the components of the overall project.
The modern center has the necessary educational and simulation materials and equipment and implements international and local educational programs.
The center's activity started with the signing of a memorandum.
