Criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with the case of the enemy's attempt to kill the servicemen
On June 15, 2023, around 13:00-13:30, shots were fired from the enemy's combat positions located in front of Hakari Bridge, with the motive of racial, national, and ethnic hatred, intolerance, or hostility, to unlawfully take life in the direction of the service members of the border guard military unit of the Republic of Armenia.
As a result, Artur Azroyan, a soldier of the border guard troops of the RA NSS, received gunshot wounds in his hand and abdomen at the place of border guard service. The latter was transferred to the medical center.
It was also found that when the serviceman mentioned above was being taken out due to a shot fired from the enemy's combat position, the bulletproof vest of the driver-soldier of the medical aid car was torn. The serviceman received a slight scratch and physical pain. After providing first aid on the spot, the serviceman did not need further medical assistance.
Regarding the mentioned facts, two separate criminal proceedings were initiated in the Ninth Garrison Investigative Department of the RA Criminal Investigation Department, according to the 1st and 15th points of Part 2 of Articles 44-155 of the RA Criminal Code.
A preliminary investigation is conducted within the framework of necessary and urgent investigative and other operational actions.
