Edmon Marukyan, RA ambassador with special assignments, wrote in his "Twitter" microblog: "Azerbaijan opened fire on the vehicles and infrastructure of the factory being built in the sovereign territory of Armenia at the expense of Armenian-American investments.
The intense fire continued for three hours.
This outrageous behavior goes against all efforts toward peace and violates all obligations not to use or even threaten force.
We strongly condemn this provocative behavior and call on our international partners to take action against Azerbaijan, including sanctions and direct calls to refrain from such a destructive approach.
The international community's silence or the lack of specific measures against Azerbaijan may lead to new aggressions against democratic Armenia."
