The RA Ministry of Environment issued a message informing, "The metallurgical plant will be built in the territory of the Republic of Armenia by all environmental norms and requirements within the framework of domestic legislative regulations.
Azerbaijan's statement regarding the negative transboundary impact on the environment due to the factory's operation is groundless and does not correspond to reality. The only real purpose of these environmental false alarms is to hinder the economic development of the Republic of Armenia.
The Republic of Armenia is committed to the fulfillment of all international obligations undertaken in the field of environmental protection.
