Specialists from the Czech Republic will calculate the stocks of fish species in Sevan
RA Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan informed us that the reserves of Lake Sevan are being calculated. The goal is to calculate the stocks of fish species to set a quota to bring fishing into the legal field.
The minister detailed that specialists from the Czech Republic will arrive in RA shortly, "We are waiting for the visit of our colleagues from the Czech Republic, who will come with their tools and will also count fish and crab stocks in Lake Sevan," he said, adding that this is done to have an alternative calculation.
"I also hope that, as a result of these calculations, we will know the dynamics in the sense of the recovery of fish stocks, and let's also hope that we will bring the process of allocating quotas to the point where fishing will be fully within the scope of legality," said Simidyan.
