Genocide has been recognized, that process has ended; Zareh Sinanyan

In a press conference, Diaspora affairs commissioner Zareh Sinanyan announced that the genocide was recognized and that process was over.

"When you say the whole world, who do you mean? China, for example, probably didn't recognize it; Western countries, Russia, did. The fact of our genocide should be directly connected with the security of the part of our people that stayed and lived on their native land. In other words, we should not say that there was a Genocide, recognize it, but we should say that since you do not recognize it, the perpetrators of the Genocide can do it to Eastern Armenia as well," he said.

Speaking about the consequences of Genocide recognition, Sinanyan said, "Recognizing genocide in the air gives us nothing but moral flattery; we must connect it with our security today. We must tell the world that because recognizing the Genocide took so long, you encouraged other states who have taken 120,000 people under siege today. Why have we fought for Artsakh for so many years? Because we have learned that Artsakh can be subjected to pre-inhabitation," he said.
