The Science and technology park is one of the critical structures of the Qatar Foundation. It is a world-renowned technology development center vital to developing Qatar's innovation ecosystem.
The science and technology park was officially opened in 2009. by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al Misnad on March 16. It was created as a center of excellence for technology companies worldwide and a platform for startups.
