RA Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan met with the head of the Geneva office of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Meena Singelee.
The parties referred to many programs implemented with the support and cooperation of the IAEA. As a result, the effectiveness of radiation treatment and the availability of new approaches in Armenia have significantly improved, and nuclear medicine services have begun to develop in Armenia.
During the meeting, steps aimed at creating an educational center for training and continuous professional development of radiation oncology specialists in Armenia within the framework of international programs in cooperation with AEMG were also discussed.
