Sweden's support for the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia was highly appreciated
On May 17, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström in Reykjavik.
The interlocutors discussed bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Sweden, as well as issues related to the RA-EU partnership, including the EU civilian monitoring mission in Armenia. Sweden's support for the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia was highly appreciated.
Ararat Mirzoyan presented to his colleague the latest developments in the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the efforts of the Armenian side to establish security and stability in the South Caucasus. In the context of the comprehensive settlement of all problems, Minister Mirzoyan stressed the imperative of Azerbaijan to abandon belligerent rhetoric, policy aimed at ethnic cleansing in Nagorno Karabakh, address the rights and security issues of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.
