Issues of the transfer of convicts were discussed with the deputy ambassador of Iran
Deputy Minister of Justice Armenuhi Harutyunyan received the deputy ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, Ali Mohammad Motaghi, and the third-level adviser Seyed Ali Fallah.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the existing cooperation in transferring convicts, the legal sphere, and its prospects. Armenuhi Harutyunyan has expressed readiness to pursue the runaway realization of the rights of IRI citizen convicts and detainees serving their sentence in the Republic of Armenia within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice.
The deputy ambassador highly appreciated the practical joint Armenian-Iranian work in transferring convicts and expressed hope that high indicators of cooperation will be recorded in the future.
The parties discussed the prospects of further cooperation, outlining new ways of interaction.
