RA HRD emphasized the protection of the rights of residents of border settlements
On April 25, Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan received Estonian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Rina Kalyurand to Armenia.
Manasyan welcomed the ambassador to the HRD office and presented the priorities of the Defender's staff, emphasizing the importance of protecting the fundamental rights of residents of border settlements, legal equality, exclusion of discrimination, protection of women and children, exclusion of hate speech and several other directions within the framework of the Defender's mandate.
Ambassador Kalyurand, for his part, congratulated Anahit Manasyan on assuming the mission of Human Rights Defender and highly appreciated the sectoral priorities of activities outlined by the Defender, emphasizing the readiness of the Estonian Embassy to support the activities of the Office of the Human Rights Defender.
