The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Argentine delegation
On April 25, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan met with a delegation of Argentine journalists, business people, lawyers, and public figures who were on a familiarization visit to Armenia.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs presented to the guests the positive progress of traditional Armenian-Argentine bilateral friendly relations. In this regard, periodic political dialogue, the expansion of the legal contract field, and the development of trade-economic and inter-parliamentary cultural ties were emphasized.
Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented the current situation around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 2023. on April 23, the Azerbaijani authorities continued to block the Lachin Corridor and set up an illegal checkpoint, which grossly violates point 6 of the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020. In this regard, the importance of international actors' responses to pressure Azerbaijan to lift the illegal blockade and fulfill the International Court of Justice decision on February 22 was emphasized.
There was also an exchange of ideas on urgent issues of the regional and international agenda.
