Today marks the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
As a result of the crime of 1915, more than 1.5 million Armenians died in the Ottoman Empire.
The Armenian Genocide Memorial Day is celebrated on April 24 because, on that day in 1915, the Armenian intellectuals of Istanbul were sent to their death from Haydarpasha railway station.
