Araik Harutyunyan, the head of the staff of the RA Prime Minister, stated that during the European Weightlifting Championship, they are ready to ensure the safety of both other and Azerbaijani athletes. "Since submitting the application, we have said that we will accept athletes from all countries and ensure their safety. During this period, we had a specific correspondence, we discussed issues related to the Azerbaijan team through the mediation of the European Federation.
They also asked for additional security tools, and we provided them," Araik Harutyunyan said, adding that all the necessary measures were implemented.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan announced that they will participate in the European Weightlifting Championship held in Yerevan if there are additional security guarantees.
