On April 11, at 2:31 p.m. local time (10:31 a.m. GMT), the Seismological Network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the MES of the Republic of Armenia registered an earthquake at the geographic coordinates of 39.45⁰ north latitude and 44.49⁰ east longitude, on the Iran-Turkey border Zone: 7 km northeast of Maku city, 10 km deep, 4.3 magnitude earthquake. The rescue service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs reports this.
The strength of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was 5-6 points.
The earthquake was felt in the city of Yerevan with a magnitude of 2 and in the Ararat region with a volume of 3.
