Under the leadership of Minister Vahan Kerobyan, on April 4, a presentation on the export of US goods through the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) was held at the RA Ministry of Economy.
During the event, Laura Buffo, the US Trade Representative's deputy for the Generalized System of Privileges (GSP), thoroughly presented the procedures for applying the system and the opportunities for expanding exports. Jason Buntin, director of the European and Middle East Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR), was also present at the event.
Vahan Kerobyan said in his speech: "Armenia has traditionally acted as a food exporter, but we are trying to change the structure and focus more on medium and high-tech products."
The minister also added that the export of solar panels is particularly promising today.
