Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan received the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation led by the head of the IMF mission in Armenia, Iva Petrova.
After the meeting held last year, the parties discussed the course of reforms implemented in the tax and customs sectors of Armenia. The performance forecasts of RA state budget tax revenues and the impact of existing challenges on performance, the tax/GDP indicator dynamics, and the effects of tax and customs reforms on that indicator were also observed. I've referred to the latest changes in the tax legislation and the steps to be taken in that direction shortly.
The Chairman of the SRC presented the implementation process of the widespread overallocation system in RA and the problems of forming the necessary tax control tools for it.
The meeting participants exchanged opinions on the issues of access to secret bank embarkation for tax control and the possibility of conducting inspections and studies on individuals.
The parties also referred to the progress of implementing the "National Single Window of RA Foreign Trade" unified platform and the technical assistance programs provided by the IMF to the Committee.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to expand and develop further cooperation between the State Revenue Committee and the International Monetary Fund.
