The Canadian side is interested in deepening sector relations

As part of his working visit to New York, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan met with Jenna Sudds, Parliamentary Secretary of the Minister of Women, Gender Equality, and Youth Affairs of Canada.

The parties referred to the directions of cooperation in labor and social protection, particularly the programs aimed at the stable employment of women, identification of abilities, and economic empowerment. In this context, Minister Mkrtchyan presented the measures implemented by the RA government, which aim to promote women's entrepreneurship and employment in areas with high economic productivity and contribute to the development of effective employment models and assessment systems.

Emphasizing the importance of continuously expanding Armenian-Canadian relations, Jenna Sads noted that after the opening of the Canadian embassy in Armenia, the Canadian side is more interested in deepening regional ties. The latter inquired about the launch of the "Platform #5" platform for women's economic empowerment, women's activism, the effectiveness of the program, etc.
