The Urban Development Committee hosted representatives of the World Bank's Urban Development and Disaster Risk Management Project Implementation Team.
The parties summarized the jointly implemented initiatives and considered the possible directions for continuing the cooperation. The chairman of the committee, Armen Ghularyan, emphasized the practical work with the team of professional specialists of the World Bank, as a result of which the norms related to the energy efficiency of buildings were developed, and the cooperation in the direction of energy audit was launched.
The representatives of the World Bank showed their interest in the activities that the committee implements by the plan of the RA Government and the strategy of the urban development sector. At the same time, they expressed readiness to consider possible ways to support their implementation.
As a result of the meeting, the committee-WB cooperation agenda was outlined, which will mostly be related to the modernization of the housing fund and the passports of buildings. Another discussion will be organized to explore the directions in more detail.
