The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs received the Director of the US Embassy Yerevan’s Bureau of INL and senior advisor

On February 13, RA Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received Alexis Haftvani, Director of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), and Cara Rose, the program's senior policy advisor.

Welcoming the guests, Sargsyan pointed out the works carried out in several directions of police reforms with the support of the program, thanks to which positive results have already been recorded. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, emphasizing the close relations formed, expressed her willingness to continue and expand the cooperation.

The guests, thanking them for the warm welcome, noted the patrol service's activity and recorded successes, expressing their willingness to listen to possible problems and current needs.

The parties discussed the legislative changes planned for the newly formed water patrol service, infrastructure creation, and water equipment acquisition.

Reference was also made to the activities of the criminal police units and police guards to be formed in regions, personnel policy, and interaction with other law enforcement structures. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the cooperation.
