The rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informs that, despite the difficult working conditions, the Armenian rescuers, who have formed joint chains with international partners, continue to try to dig out the collapsed buildings, urging them to be silent often, in the hope of hearing voices asking for help.
Search and rescue teams, using special technical means, look for "voids" - areas of large concrete beams or collapsed staircases - where victims can be found. While rescuers try to reach the survivors, support teams monitor the movement of the buildings, taking into account the possibility of their further collapse, as well as the presence of other hazards.
As a result of the large-scale works carried out in the collapsed areas of the city of Adiyaman, the rescuers, cooperating with the US search team, found and pulled out 3 injured citizens from the rubble.
In Syria and Turkey, Armenian rescuers continue to carry out dismantling of weakened and suspended structural elements of buildings, demolition of rubble and removal from the area with special equipment.
The canine group is also actively involved in search and rescue operations.
