On February 9, RA Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Armenia, Petr Pirunchik. Welcoming the guest, Vahe Ghazaryan, congratulated the ambassador on his appointment.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, highly appreciating the long-standing and practical cooperation with the Czech Embassy, especially emphasized the cooperation in the field of education, due to which mutual visits were organized to the educational institutions of the two countries.
Vahe Ghazaryan also highlighted the memorandum of understanding signed in Yerevan in 2022 between the Internal Security Department of the Armenian Police and the General Inspectorate of the Czech Security Forces, which created conditions for close professional ties in the field of internal security.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Petr Pirunchik, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, mutually congratulated Vahe Ghazaryan on his appointment as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Petr Pirunchik noted the close cooperation both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union, thanks to which several measures were implemented in the police, rescue, and migration services.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary inquired about the reforms in the services subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and expressed readiness to continue cooperation.
Arpine Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, presented the process of formation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and reforms implemented in subordinate services. He emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in developing subordinate services and setting standards by international standards.
Armen Mkrtchyan, head of the police headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, presented data published by authoritative international platforms, according to which Armenia and Yerevan were included in the list of safe countries, occupying leading positions among safe countries and cities. The meeting also discussed police, migration and citizenship, rescue services, and other issues of mutual interest.
