It is necessary that CE officials and structures have the opportunity to visit Nagorno-Karabakh. Speaker of the National Assembly to the Croatian Foreign Minister

RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlic-Radman, on February 7. The need for multi-sectoral cooperation aimed at bilateral relations was discussed at the meeting. Alen Simonyan, noting that there was only one visit at the level of the Croatian parliament speaker in 2011, proposed to activate inter-parliamentary relations.

The role of friendly groups in active dialogue between the parliaments of friendly countries was referred to.

The partners talked about the post-war situation, the Lachin Corridor crisis, Azerbaijan's aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia, the threats to the 120,000 Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh, and Azerbaijan's continuous aggressive policy. "Azerbaijan's policy of banning international entry, including humanitarian organizations, to Artsakh is unacceptable. We strongly believe that the officials and structures of the Council of Europe must have the opportunity to visit Nagorno-Karabakh to monitor the human rights situation," said Alen Simonyan.
