On January 19, at 09:55 local time (at 05:55 Greenwich time), the seismological network of the Regional Service of Seismic Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia recorded an earthquake at the geographical coordinates of 38.37⁰ north latitude and 44.81⁰ east longitude from the city of Salmas, Iran. 20 km north, 10 km deep, 4.6 magnitude earthquake.
The strength of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was 6 points.
The earthquake was felt in Agarak, the Syunik region, with a magnitude of 2-3.
