The main directions of Armenian-Estonian cooperation in the field of healthcare were discussed

First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan is part of the delegation led by RA President Vahagn Khachaturian in Tallinn, Estonia, where she had several meetings with the officials coordinating the health care field in Estonia.

Lena Nanushyan discussed the main directions of Armenian-Estonian cooperation in healthcare with the Estonian Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Heidi Alasep.

Lena Nanushyan met with the President of the Estonian Health Insurance Fund, Rain Lane, on reforms, successes, and problems of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system. Issues related to funding management, procurement, insurance premium collection, and quality control were discussed. There was a reference to the Estonian digitalization experience, information collected from medical organizations, and analysis and implementation of payments.

Lena Nanushyan also met with Heli Palette, head of the Health System Development Department of Social Affairs of Estonia, to discuss the reforms of the PHC unit, followed by a visit to the family medical health center of the PHC unit, where the functions, structure, electronic document circulation, payments of family doctors were presented. Lena Nanushyan also got acquainted with the medical services and preventive screening programs provided to the population of Estonia.
