The number of passengers departing and arriving from RA airports in 2022 was unprecedented: 3 million 697 thousand 539 passengers, of which 1 million 458 thousand 718 passengers were transported by RA-RF airlines, 916 thousand 524 passengers by Armenian airlines, and 1 million 322 thousand passengers by airlines of other countries. Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan informed about this in the National Assembly. According to him, the airline Fly leads the top ten, followed by the Russian companies Azimut and Aeroflot.
In response to MP Sisak Gabrielyan's question, Simonyan informed that Fly Arna, a joint venture of the Armenian State Interest Fund (ANIF) and Air Arabia Group, ranks fourth among Armenian airlines. The deputy minister clarified that Fly Arna started its flights in the summer of 2022. "It has actually operated for half a year," he said, adding that the airline carried 78 thousand 711 passengers during that time.
