On December 27, Azerbaijan held an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Trustees of the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund due to the blockade of the Lachin Corridor and its consequences. The conference was aimed at providing humanitarian assistance. It was chaired by the President of the Republic, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund Vahagn Khachaturyan.
20 members of the board of trustees, as well as representatives of the local bodies of the fund, participated in the meeting via video link.
During the session, Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan and State Minister Ruben Vardanyan presented the humanitarian crisis created in Artsakh, the urgent needs of Artsakh Armenians, and directions for addressing them.
The participants of the session discussed the situation, and the necessity of pan-Armenian consolidation to provide humanitarian support to Artsakh was emphasized. The possible ways and methods of delivering urgent humanitarian aid to Artsakh, the measures to be taken, including the organization of fund-raising campaigns in different formats, the possibilities of redirecting the current programs of the foundation in Artsakh, as well as the need for the foundation to apply to various international structures, were presented.
All structures that are members of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation were suggested to carry out active work to direct the potential of their communities to the efforts to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh, as well as to ensure the stable and self-sufficient development of Artsakh in the long term.
The US local authority has expressed readiness to immediately provide 500,000 US dollars to provide humanitarian support to Artsakh in the form of natural products.
