Institutions of human rights defenders of Armenia and Artsakh have published a special report on the humanitarian consequences of the blockade of the Lachin Corridor with newly updated data.
Late yesterday evening, a joint report of the two institutions was published in English, which provides updated information on the consequences of the 16-day blockade of the Lachin Corridor.
The report summarizes the Azerbaijani public discourse and analyzes the statements of Azerbaijani officials, the conclusion of which is that the Azerbaijani political leadership, with the primary means of official and quasi-official information and public opinion formation of the government and the use of proven methods, prepared and directed public opinion for the blockade of the Lachin humanitarian corridor since November.
The proven methods of inciting and inflaming Armenian hatred and ethnic hatred towards the Armenians of Artsakh have continued to be widely used by the Azerbaijani government propaganda machine, trying to place them in the context of false environmental sentiments.
The report also updated newly revealed facts about the participants of the fake environmental action and presented the state of rights in the conditions of the created humanitarian crisis.
According to established practice, the report will be presented to organizations and actors with an international human rights mandate. It will also be made available to global judicial instances where, among other things, Armenia's demand to stop blocking the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the world by Azerbaijan has been initiated.
