The Ministry of Environment reports that today, December 16, within the framework of the joint activities carried out during the whitefish spawning period in Lake Sevan, the representatives of the "Sevan" National Park" SNCO special task force, the Police, and the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspection Authority implemented a ban on hunting fish during the spawning period. Explanatory works on the importance organized and carrying out the removal of watercraft, hunting tools, and temporary shelters.

I would like to remind you that the joint activities implemented during the spawning period of whitefish in Lake Sevan started on December 1, 2022, and will last until January 20, 2023, inclusive. A strict ban will be applied in Lake Sevan from December 15 to January 20.
