"To this day, 26 of Shirak's boys remain in captivity." Nazeli Baghdasaryan

Nazeli Baghdasaryan, governor of Shirak, wrote on his Facebook page:

"Two years ago these days, I was in Artsakh. One terrifying news forced him to reach Stepanakert within hours quickly. Although the tripartite declaration of November 9, 2020, the commitments of the two countries were fixed, still two years ago, a group of Armenian boys was captured from the territory of Khtsaberd and Hin Tagher of Nagorno Karabakh, 26 of whom were from Shirak region.

In those days, the Azerbaijani side was also grossly violating the points stipulated in the tripartite declaration by carrying out illegal military operations in the territory under the control of Armenia and capturing Armenian boys. Then they should label our brothers as "terrorists" and assign them other actions that have nothing to do with reality. I am sorry that 26 Shirak's boys are still in captivity.

In the past two years, we again witnessed Azerbaijan grossly violating its international obligations, almost all points of the tripartite signed document. Today we are facing another humanitarian disaster. People's rights to movement, life, and health are restricted. More than a hundred thousand people are effectively held, hostage. This is a genocidal manuscript, which should have a response from the international community."
