The US Embassy in RA referred to the anniversary of the catastrophic earthquake of 1988.
"On December 7, together with Armenians around the world, we remember the victims of the devastating earthquake of 1988 and express our respect to the residents of Gyumri, Vanadzor, and other places affected by the disaster for the strength, endurance, and courage with which they overcame the consequences of the disaster," posted on the embassy's Facebook page.
